| If you would like to get virtual
    nameservers (e.g., ns.yourdomain.com and ns2.yourdomain.com,
where yourdomain.com is any valid domain name that you own) with two unique ip
addresses, we can set up and host these for $10.00 per month. You would need to be the
registrant of yourdomain.com domain, and would need to register the 2
nameservers along with the IP addresses that we provide you for the nameservers. If yourdomain.com was registered through GlobalFront, then we will
register the nameservers for you without any additional cost. If you registered
yourdomain.com through another registrar, then you would need to contact your registrar to
find out how you can register nameservers for the domain and whether your registrar charge
any fee for that. Once the nameservers are registered, please allow at least
48-72 hours for propagation of the nameserver names across the internet before you plan to
use them as nameservers for any other domain. After your virtual nameservers become
functional, you would be able to use those nameservers for modifying yourdomain.com.
Additionally, you will be able to use those nameservers for registering or modifying other
domains for which you buy (a) GlobalFront's hosting service accounts, or (b) GlobalFront's
domain forwarding accounts. For each additional domain, you would need to pay the regular
    hosting or forwarding service fees.

What would show-up in the reverse
lookup for my virtual nameserver ip addresses? The reverse lookup will show ns.yourdomain.com and
ns2.yourdomain.com, where yourdomain.com is your own domain name. What would show-up in the whois
lookup for the domains using my virtual nameserver ip addresses? Whois lookup for domains using your virtual nameservers
would show ns.yourdomain.com and ns2.yourdomain.com, where yourdomain.com is your own
domain name. How do I order virtual nameservers? Please email to support@globalfront.com
and provide your domain name that you would like to use as the nameserver domain. Then
please visit our online payment form at https://www.globalfront.com/jumpto/payment.htm
and make a payment for $10.00 as the setup and first month nameserver fee. Once we receive
your payment, we will configure ns.yourdomain.com and ns2.yourdomain.com
with 2 unique IP addresses in our servers, and email you within 4 to 12 hours. You will
then need to register the nameservers and the IP addresses with the registrar of
yourdomain.com. Please note that you must be the owner or registrant of yourdomain.com
before you order ns.yourdomain.com and ns2.yourdomain.com
in our site. Note: On this page, the term
"yourdomain.com" refers to your domain name, which could have any valid TLD
extension, including any country-code TLD extension. However, if you are planning to use
the nameservers for additional domains, for compatibility with most registrars'
registration systems, we strongly recommend that the nameserver domain should be one with
a .com or a .net TLD extension. If you still have questions, then please contact us at support@globalfront.com. |
